Electric trial that evolves with Yamaha TY-E 2.0
I first saw Yamaha’s electric trial bike four years ago. , And the Yamaha TY-E was certainly an interesting entry into the space. That statement is true only in version 2.0. That’s why Yamaha TY-E 2.0 has just officially debuted at the 49th Tokyo Motorcycle Show, and our first wave of information shows the sophisticated bikes in Yamaha’s lineup. The beautiful composite monocoque frame (CFRP) has been updated and the battery pack has benefited from five years of progress, boasting 2.5 times the energy capacity of the previous “1.0” model, with a weight increase of only 20%. Yamaha estimates the official weight of the TY-E 2.0 to be “70 kg or more,” which is consistent with its internal combustion engine counterparts. Yamaha has also changed the powertrain and battery layout to lower the center of gravity of the trial bike.
