What’s New for 2024: Lexus

Lexus rolls into the 2024 model year with big changes on many of its biggest models. The biggest news is the debut of the new 2024 Lexus TX three-row crossover SUV that slots in larger than the RX L but not quite as large or as truck-based as the Lexus LX. It comes with three powertrains, including two hybrid options. One size below both the TX and LX is the redesigned Lexus GX, which can also be equipped with seven seats. (AP)   AUSTIN, Texas — Patrick Mahomes said he “jumped” at the the chance to invest in a Formula One team when he was asked to join a group of celebrity backers behind the Alpine team. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, along with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, golfer Rory McIlroy and former heavyweight champion boxer Anthony Joshua, were among a group of top sports names announced Tuesday as joining the Otro Capital investment. “I think everybody can see the appeal,” Mahomes said Wednesday. “I’ve been able to get to a couple of races now, seeing the environment, you see ‘Drive To Survive’ on Netflix and how competitive it is,” Mahomes said. “We were able to go to some of those races and get a little stake in the game.” The F1 season resumes this week at the United States Grand Prix in Austin. Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BAIC BJEV, a new energy vehicle unit under BAIC Group, in collaboration with the Chinese power battery giant and one of its major battery suppliers, CATL, hosted an event on Tuesday to announce the application of CATL’s Shenxing battery into its vehicle models. Photo credit: BAIC BJEV As part of their strategic plan, BAIC BJEV’s premium intelligent electric vehicle brand, ARCFOX, will equip its models with CATL’s Shenxing ultra-fast charging batteries. The partnership between BAIC BJEV and CATL can be dated back to 2009. Over the years, their collaboration has been deepened, encompassing battery supply, technology development, standards setting, and after-sales services. In 2019, they jointly introduced the CTP1.0 battery product to the world, and by 2022, CATL’s first 2.2C fast-charging battery successfully landed in ARCFOX’s models. Mazda Has Not Given Up On Selling EVs In The US Yet

“It’s hard to make money by making small EVs given the high costs of producing automobiles,” said Mazda’s chief executive Masahiro Moro.”We are looking at a segment that will appeal to would-be EV buyers.” Currently, Mazda hasn’t revealed a bigger electric model than the MX-30, which means we could see one of these new models soon if the Japanese automaker is faithful to the timeline mentioned earlier. Chase Auto , PNC Financial and Wells Fargo kicked off third-quarter earnings season last week with mixed results, while consumer credit availability improved in September.   Chase Auto grew its portfolio by 5.7% year over year during the quarter as originations increased 36% YoY. American Express lands partner role for F1 and Las Vegas GP

In addition to the special focus on Las Vegas, the multi-year deal covers the Austin, Miami, Montreal, Mexico City and Interlagos events. Amex will also be a supporter of the female-only F1 Academy series. The deal is the first new sports sponsorship programme in a decade for the financial services company, which has enjoyed long involvements in basketball, golf, tennis and football. Amex card members will have special benefits such as pre-sale access to tickets and additional on-site benefits at races.
