2024 Lincoln Nautilus Drops “Rejuvenate” Feature

One of the cooler features on the fully redesigned 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is its Rejuvenate feature. Lincoln describes Rejuvenate as a “multisensory, in-cabin experience including lighting and digital scenting.” Unfortunately, one of the more innovative and high-end features on the Nautilus won’t be available at the time of launch.

According to a letter that was sent to dealers, the 2024 Nautilus will not be available with Rejuvenate due to “feature readiness.” The letter claims that Lincoln will give shoppers who have a current order for a Nautilus a choice of a $200 credit or the opportunity to not follow through on their orders.

“To ensure the highest quality experience for our Nautilus clients, we are taking additional time to ensure feature readiness and testing,” reads the letter. “Lincoln Rejuvenate will not be available to clients at launch and will be delivered retroactively in the future via a software update.”

Lincoln delaying the launch of Rejuvenate, which sounds innovative, luxurious, and high-tech, things the automaker needs if it wants to be competitive in the midsize landscape. Rejuvenate is meant to provide passengers with a reprieve by changing the vehicle’s displays, massage options, interior lighting, seat position, and scent via cartridges that are housed in the center armrest. It’s meant to help passengers relax.

Based on Lincoln’s description of the feature, it certainly sounds complicated. Lincoln could be struggling to get everything to work correctly in a single choreographed act, since this is the first time the automaker has used the feature in one of its vehicles. It’s unusual for an automaker to remove a feature from a vehicle’s launch, especially one that it’s showcased extensively.

According to Lincoln’s configurator for the 2024 Nautilus, Rejuvenate is available starting on the mid-level Reserve which starts at $56,145. Lincoln Rejuvenate is part of the Reserve III package that costs $10,005, bringing the cost of the vehicle up to $66,150. The range-topping Black Label that costs $75,645 comes with Rejuvenate as standard. Lincoln’s site claims that Rejuvenate will have “late availability.”
