The standard engine for 2023 is a 400-horsepower, 410-lb-ft 5.0-liter V8, with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic, all-wheel drive and a two-speed transfer case as standard. Ford spokesman Dawn McKenzie told CarConnection that off-road customers interested in the truck’s performance also wanted a V-8 engine, so the V-8 came standard on the Tremor.
