overview:

Not to be confused with the Audi e-tron GT, a four-door sports sedan. The e-tron is an electric luxury SUV available in traditional hatchback form and a more coupe-like sportback. The 2023 Audi e-tron is traditionally Audi Q8but wants the benefits of a fully electric car.

The standard dual-motor powertrain has more than enough power for everyday driving, and switching to Sport mode to access the Boost feature adds a temporary but noticeable kick.

The Audi e-tron is heavy, but offers relatively nimble handling and almost effortlessly weighted steering at low speeds.

One-pedal driving is not possible, as regenerative braking is not as aggressive as in many electric vehicles. That said, the balance between conventional braking and regenerative systems is smoother and more seamless than any vehicle in its class.

The ride is comfortable and calm, and you can feel the lightness of a large SUV.

The more powerful 3-motor S model offers quick acceleration to satisfy the most enthusiastic drivers.

Safety features: 4.5/5 stars

Audi offers better build quality than the more expensive Tesla Model X, but with much lower maximum mileage.of BMW iX The Genesis Electrified G70 offers similar luxury at a discounted price compared to the e-tron.of Cadillac Lyric The price is well below the e-tron, but the overall luxury is not as good as the Audi.

At its base price, the Audi e-tron offers standard equipment that compares favorably with its rivals in terms of price. It’s not top of the line in any category, but it’s worth it all around.

Each trim level increase in overall fitment and luxury justifies the increase in price.

The Audi e-tron received a predictive reliability score of 72 out of 100 from JD Power. This is considered average. Audi offers a 4 year/50,000 mile limited and powertrain warranty and an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty on electrical components. This coverage is fairly average, but lags behind the Hyundai-affiliated Genesis brand, which offers limited coverage for 5 years/60,00 miles and 10 years/100,000 powertrain coverage.

Technical features: 4/5 stars

The Audi e-tron uses a dual-screen infotainment system. A 10.1-inch touchscreen that controls most of the entertainment features sits above an 8.8-inch screen that handles climate control duties. Audi’s virtual cockpit digital instrument display is also standard.

It includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as HD radio, satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot, and two USB charging ports.

Optional technical equipment includes a wireless charger and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.

A two-screen system divides the work and makes the system intuitive and easy to use. The screen is easy to read, and there are also enough physical controls for basic functions like volume control.

Utility: 3/5 Stars

The e-tron secures a spacious interior space for both the front and rear seats. Luggage space averages 28.5 cubic feet with the rear seats up and 56.5 cubic feet when folded. Selecting the Sportback reduces cargo space to 27.2 and 54.5 respectively. The Sportback also sees reduced rear headroom which can be a problem for taller passengers.

The interior is classic Audi, albeit with a futuristic powertrain. Plenty of storage space, cup holders and small storage spaces for each passenger’s personal items.

The e-tron has a towing capacity of up to 4000 lbs, but you can expect a significant reduction in range when towing.of Tesla Model X (£5000) and Rivian R1S (£7700) can tow more, but the e-tron is still a very useful SUV.

A very small front trunk, or flank, adds an additional two cubic feet of storage space.

Styling & Design: 4.5/5 Stars

The e-tron’s exterior stays in the family with looks that mirror its traditional powered siblings, including an upright grille.

The interior design combines practicality and luxury with high-quality materials and smart ergonomics. Overall, a top interior in this segment. The interior is whisper quiet, typical of an electric luxury SUV.

Both rows of seats are spacious and comfortable, and the supportive seats are still plush. Headroom and legroom are ample, though headroom is a bit limited on the Sportback model.

Build quality is what you’d expect from the brand with soft touches and premium materials used anywhere the cabin might touch. The assembly is correct and the panels have no noticeable gaps or other defects.

The Audi e-tron strikes a balance between SUV practicality and luxury.

Standard materials include wood trim and leatherette upholstery that make you feel right at home in a vehicle of this level of luxury and price.

Fuel economy: 3/5 stars

The e-tron’s efficiency is up to 80 MPGe in urban areas and 79 MPGe on highways. This is comparable to the “fuel economy” of other luxury SUVs.the smaller one Tesla Model Y leads its class with an estimated 127 MPGe in urban areas and 117 MPGe on highways, jaguar i pace You get 80 MPGe cities and 72 MPGe highways.
