Subaru teases new 2024 Crosstrek before unveiling in Chicago

In other markets, Crosstrek has a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder e-Boxer that makes 143 horsepower and 139 lb-ft, and a hybrid motor that makes 13 hp and 48 lb-ft. It seems highly unlikely that the US will get an e-Boxer setup.

Subaru’s website says, “Sign up now to be the first to see the upgraded power, advanced technology and enhanced safety of the all-new 2024 Crosstrek.”

Today, Crosstrek’s 2.0-liter base boxer engine makes 152 horsepower and the larger 2.5-liter engine makes 182 horsepower. If the 2024 model has “upgraded power,” that rules out a less powerful hybrid setup.
