Ford’s big price cut for 2023 Mustang Mach E follows Tesla’s price cut

Priced at $50,995 (destination excluded) in popular premium trim with RWD and standard range battery packs, that’s a $3,980 reduction. The Premium AWD Standard Range is priced at $53,995, which is a $3,680 reduction. All of these models qualify for the new federal EV tax credit of $7,500.
California Route 1 ($57,995) and GT ($63,995) Extended Range models are excluded because they exceed the $55,000 price threshold for cars set by the Inflation Reduction Act passed last year. The GT Extended Range model has the biggest price drop of $5,900.
Ford said it cut the Extended Range 91-kw battery pack by $1,600 to $7,000. This is optional for Premium grade. Therefore, extended range premiums are not eligible for credit.
