Petrucci makes surprise return to MotoGP with Suzuki in Thailand

Petrucci made his MotoGP debut in 2012 and moved up to Ducati’s factory team in 2019 from a seat at the back of the grid with Ioda in a CRT-equipped car.

The Italian won twice during his tenure at Ducati before moving to Tech3 KTM for 2021.

But a difficult season and KTM’s desire to field its own up-and-coming rider Remy Gardner And Raul Fernandez led to Petrucci losing his place on the MotoGP grid.

He remained with KTM for his maiden attack on the Dakar Rally, taking a stage win despite suffering an injury in the event.
