2022 Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally: 38th Edition Coverage
The 38th Annual Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally was held. Wonnewock Region Park August 5-7. Wonewoc is halfway between Madison and La Crosse on Route 33, one of Wisconsin’s oldest roads he.This area is part of Wisconsin driftless area It features interesting geography, spectacular scenery and great roads. Wonewoc Legion Park is located in a beautiful valley and many rally participants pitched their tents over the weekend. The fun started with the Friday night menu. Wonewoc American Legion Clark-Gurgel Post #206was responsible for Guzzista’s weekend meal at the 2022 Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally.
Saturday included a group ride around the rolling hills of the Driftless area, stopping at bike collector Joe Block’s home to check out his vintage bikes.Next was a run to rockton bar for lunch. Located in Rockton, just north of Lafarge. Kickapoo Valleyit’s a popular stop for motorcyclists and also hosts a chicken barbecue on Sundays during the summer.
The weather was perfect for the first half of the weekend, and the 2022 Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally was sunny and comfortable. However, thunderstorms and rain on Saturday afternoon disrupted Saturday night’s activities. Nevertheless, pulled pork and roast beef were consumed by hungry participants. A continental breakfast was served on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Each year, the Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally is open to riders of all makes, so classic bikes from a variety of makes took part in the Saturday ride. Tom Kelly, president of Wisconsin’s Moto Guzzi Riders, estimated the number of riders participating in the rally to be around 150, with several out-of-state numbers his plate noted.
Wisconsin Motoguzzi Riders Formed in 1982 by a group of Moto Guzzi riders who are passionate about the brand. Enthusiast Membership is available to people riding other brands, but is not eligible to vote in the organization’s elections. Moto Guzzi has been building motorcycles since his 1921 in Mandello del his Lario, Italy, and this year marks his 100th anniversary as last year’s festival was postponed.
