SAIC-supported IM motors start delivery of IML7

Shanghai (Gas Goo)- The first batch of IM L7 was delivered to consumers in Shanghai and Suzhou on June 18.

IM L7 is the first production model of China’s luxury electric vehicle brand owned by SAIC Motor, Shanghai Zhangjiang High Shin and Alibaba joint venture IM Motors.

Delivery of the model was originally scheduled to begin in April, but was postponed to mid-June due to the effects of the coronavirus.

Vehicle delivery times vary for consumers across China due to external environments such as logistics and transportation factors, automakers said in their WeChat account.

With the start of nationwide delivery, IM Motor plans to start a bespoke service for IM Care.

To date, IM Motors has already opened nearly 70 experience and delivery service centers and expects the total to increase to 120 by the end of this year.

IM L7 was officially launched on April 17th. The model is currently available in two variations, Dynamic and Pro, priced at 368,800 yuan ($ 55,260) and 408,800 yuan ($ 61,250), respectively.

Positioned as a full-size sedan, the IML7 has a length of 5,098 mm, a width of 1,960 mm, a height of 1,482 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. The model comes with a total of six body color options: Pissarro White, Rafael Tea, Cezanne Black, Rembrandt Gray, Diana White and Morandy Gray.

For power systems, two permanent magnet synchronous motors can continuously drive both axles with a system output of 425 KW / 725N • m. The IM L7 can sprint at 0-100km / h in just 3.87 seconds and has a braking distance of 32.69 meters at 100-0km / h. Equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack, the CLTC rated range is 615km.
