In today’s Assen, Ducati’s Pekkobanyaia has recovered from the recent DNF succession with a compelling victory. On the podium with Banyaia, the newcomer Marco Betsecki (Ducati) took the first podium in the premier class, and Maverick Viñales moved to the Aprilia factory team to take the first podium. There was a rider.

Championship point leader Fabio Quartararo tried to move up to second place behind Banyaia early in the race, but he crashed and knocked Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) on the gravel. However, Espargaro kept his bike upright, took part in the race near the back of the field, and then made an impressive ride to finish in 4th place.

Quartararo picked up the bike, circulated the track fairly slowly before entering the pits, then re-entered the race, but crashed again before retiring. Quartararo said he was unharmed after the race except for his shoulder pain.
