W Series secures a 3-year Sky Sports broadcast contract
All 10 qualifying sessions and races on the eight weekends of the Formula One Grand Prix will be broadcast live by Sky.
The All Women’s Championship was previously broadcast on Channel 4. Channel 4 will continue to show highlights and free-to-air broadcasts of the Birmingham Grand Prix support race at Silverstone.
The new Sky Deal will continue until the end of the fifth on-track season of the 2024 W Series.
The third season of the W Series begins with a doubleheader supporting F1’s first Miami Grand Prix from May 6th to 8th.
W Series CEO Catherine Bond Muir said:
“Through the conversation with Sky, I was impressed with women’s commitment to sports, and the W Series across a portfolio of broad distribution channels that truly weighs on delivery across broadcast, digital and social platforms. We are planning to increase our coverage.
“This partnership will allow the W Series to continue to grow its audience in the UK. Alongside Sky, Channel 4 will continue to broadcast free for the entire W Series season, including highlights of all races. The home race will be broadcast live at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone in July.

More than half of the 2022 season races will be in Suzuka. It will be held outside Europe, including the first race in Asia to support the Japanese Grand Prix.

The W Series recently confirmed the full 18 driver grid for the 2022 season, joining Caitlyn Jenner’s new team with double-champion Jamie Chadwick.
Abbie Eaton, who suffered a back injury in the 2021 Circuit of the Americas Round, was the last driver to be identified after returning to full health.
2021 runner-up Alice Powell, Aston Martin F1 driver ambassador Jessica Hawkins, and 2019 runner-up Beitske Visser will also return to the series.
Abbi Pulling, a reserve driver last season and the first podium at the Austin season finale, will also win a full-time seat.
Five new drivers will join the grid, including Juju Noda, the daughter of Hideki Noda, an F1 driver from the 1990s. Hideki Noda is the youngest driver to participate at the age of 16.
