Wallbox, a Barcelona-based charging station manufacturer, has begun construction of a new manufacturing facility in Arlington, Texas. The company has invested approximately $ 11 million in initial construction and plans to start production on the site by October 2022. According to the wall box, the facility’s annual production capacity will exceed 250,000 at the time of opening and will reach 500,000 by 2025.

The first product produced at the new plant is Pulsar Plus, Wall Box’s most popular charging station. Pulsar Plus is a WiFi-connected smart charger, available in 40 amp and 48 amp versions.

In 2023, Wallbox plans to add its production line Quasar 2, CCS bidirectional DC charger. The company has been selling the CHAdeMO version in Europe for the past two years.

With Quasar 2, buy-enabled EV owners can schedule charging sessions when electricity prices are low, discharge car batteries to power their homes when electricity prices are high, and power EVs in an emergency. It can be used as a power source. Stop.

Other upcoming products to be built at the new plant will include the 130kW DC quick charger Supernova. Hypernova is an ultra-fast DC charger that can supply 150-350kW.
