After a false start in 2019 Dowel Motorbike Rally In central New South Wales, we’ll be back in May this year after a two-year pandemic break.
Dowel Motorbike Rally Committee spokesman Wayne Amor said the area is a great place for heavy bike rallies.
He wants to turn it into the Australian version of the world’s largest rally. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally South Dakota.
The free event will take place on Tarbes Street from May 6th to 8th.
On Saturday, a motorcycle festival will be held on “Bike Street” between Macquarie Street and Darling Street with a free bicycle parking lot from 8am to 6pm.
“The purpose of the rally is to promote safe riding and foster all the great things that biking offers: fun, freedom and friendship,” says Wayne.
“We have invited NSW’s MCC to negotiate with the RMS Motorcycle Safety Unit, which will be attended by NSW police, as well as many other motorcycle-related industries and outlet stalls.”
Highlights include Lucky Keeser’s Marlin V-twin power trike and his new Salt Lake drag bike.
According to Wayne, Dubbo has many pubs, clubs and restaurants that welcome riders.
