AutoFlight Takes one step closer to eVTOL air taxi passenger flights by introducing a proof-of-concept version called “Prosperity I” in parallel with eVTOL’s first look in the air. The eVTOL air taxi can carry three passengers in addition to the pilot and can take off up to 1,500 kg (~ 3,300 lbs). The carbon fiber fuselage, unlike many eVTOL competitors, has eight lift rotors on a twin-boom aircraft that is safely placed above the cabin.

For forward flight, the eVTOL aircraft uses two rear pusher propellers to achieve a cruising speed of 200 km / h (124 mph) and a range of 250 km (155 miles). The combination of these propellers creates what AutoFlight calls a “lift and cruise” configuration.

As a result, eVTOL aircraft can easily transition from vertical to horizontal flight by stopping and locking the lift rotor and allowing the rear propeller to push the aircraft forward.
