AutoFlight shares a proof of concept for the “Prosperity I” eVTOL air taxi and provides video footage of the transition from vertical to horizontal flight in the air.
AutoFlight Takes one step closer to eVTOL air taxi passenger flights by introducing a proof-of-concept version called “Prosperity I” in parallel with eVTOL’s first look in the air. In addition, AutoFlight posted a teaser video of “Prosperity I” transitioning from a vertical takeoff rotor to level flight in the air.
AutoFlight is a research and development specialist focused on Shanghai-based autonomous flight and eVTOL (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) technology. The company evolved from Yuneec, a consumer drone company founded by Tian Yu.
AutoFlight then moved from R & D to actual aircraft manufacturing only, successfully launching three eVTOL vehicles. That V50 Great White Shark UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicle).
The aforementioned “Prosperity I” is a proof-of-concept based on AutoFlight’s V1500M eVTOL air taxi, and completed its first voyage for certification in China last October. Earlier this month, we covered the news that AutoFlight wants to get eVTOL air taxi certification in Europe as well. Manufacturing and testing settings in Germany..
AutoFlight has begun sharing actual flight footage of the “Prosperity I” eVTOL air taxi, which is capable of “lift and cruise” in the air, to work towards passenger flights in 2025.
