The United Auto Workers (UAW) union went on strike recently at three large automotive factories owned by General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis, reports Reuters . The walkouts include roughly 12,700 workers and have brought production of popular vehicles like the Ford Bronco, Ford Ranger, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, GMC Canyon, and Chevrolet Colorado to a halt. The historic strike began after contract negotiations with the three Detroit automakers failed to result in a new deal. The strike caps off a week of failed negotiations talks between the UAW union and executives from Ford , General Motors, and Stellantis. The UAW union is reportedly asking for a bigger share of profits and stronger job security as the industry shifts to electric cars, reports Reuters . The walkouts at the Detroit Three by 12,700 workers, kicking off the most ambitious U.S. industrial labor action in decades, are halting production of the Ford Bronco , Jeep Wrangler and Chevrolet Colorado , along with other popular models, though the action was smaller than some expected. Going down the side of the vehicle, it does get better. The doors have been widened but it gives us a military feel that works. The fender flares and side steps are integrated well, and we must applaud the choice of wheels. Named “FD.15″ wheels, the 9.5 x 22” units wrapped in 325/55R22 Pirelli off-road tires not only fit very well but also look very clean. In the rear, it’s another mixed bag. The new Mansory wheel cover isn’t terrible, but the bumper with the metal bar extension looks out of place with the overall design, even if it may be functional. Aside from the extra vents splashed here and there, it’s left mostly untouched. The wing and light bar on the roof aren’t terrible in our opinion, though they only sort of work because the rest of the car is even more ridiculous.
